Please do not purchase, submit a child’s information, or let a child use a digital or physical product without active adult involvement.
These translations are provided so families can understand the same rules in their preferred language. Mandatory rights under applicable law always prevail.
1. Who we are and current launch status
Pip & Ponder is a pre-launch children’s publishing project operated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. References to “Pip & Ponder”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean the operator identified here and at checkout when sales open.
The free Worry story is available now. Paid checkout, subscriptions, remote photo upload, and printed-book orders are not yet active. Adding an item to the on-page bag is only a preview and does not create an order or charge.
2. Adults only
The commercial service is for adults aged 18 or over. A parent, legal guardian or other responsible adult must make purchases, provide instructions, submit photographs and supervise a child’s use. By submitting content about a child, you confirm that you have the legal authority and all permissions needed, including permission from other identifiable people shown or described.
4. Educational content—not professional care
Stories, prompts and developmental descriptions are general educational and creative materials. They are not medical, developmental, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, educational or emergency advice, and they do not replace a paediatrician, psychologist, therapist, teacher or other qualified professional.
Every child develops differently. Stop an activity if it causes discomfort. If a child shows persistent distress, developmental concerns, risk of harm or an emergency, contact an appropriate qualified professional or local emergency service.
5. Products, availability and prices
Product descriptions, languages, formats, regions, release dates, illustrations and prices may change before checkout opens. When sales begin, the product page and checkout will show the total price, currency, taxes, delivery charges, territory, estimated timing and any material limitations before you commit. Printed launch delivery is intended for eligible addresses in Dubai and Australia only.
We may refuse or cancel an order for genuine availability, safety, legal, payment or suspected-fraud reasons. If we cancel after payment, we will refund the affected amount using the original payment method unless law requires otherwise.
6. Digital stories
A digital purchase grants the purchaser a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for household reading. You may not resell, publicly perform, publish, scrape, copy in bulk, remove notices from, or use the stories or illustrations to train an artificial-intelligence model.
Access requirements, supported devices, language versions and any download or streaming period will be shown before purchase. Where applicable law requires express consent before immediate digital delivery and acknowledgement that a withdrawal right may be lost once delivery begins, checkout will ask for that acknowledgement separately.
7. Personalized stories and photo permissions
A personalized order may use names, anecdotes and up to ten reference photographs to write and illustrate one private family story. The uploader must be an adult with authority to provide the material. Do not submit intimate images, nudity, identity documents, precise location data, medical information, or anything unlawful or unsafe.
You grant us only the limited permission needed to review the material, create proofs, produce the agreed story, deliver it and handle required support or legal records. We will not use family photographs for advertising, public portfolios, facial recognition, biometric identification or AI-model training without a new, separate, freely given opt-in. Permission may be withdrawn before illustration work begins; after work begins, cancellation consequences will be explained and remain subject to mandatory consumer law.
You retain rights in your original photographs and anecdotes. You receive the household-use licence described above for the finished story; Pip & Ponder retains its pre-existing characters, world, style, layouts and other publishing assets. We may decline material that infringes rights, exposes a child to risk or cannot be used safely.
8. Subscriptions
When subscriptions open, checkout will clearly state the price and frequency before purchase: the proposed digital plan is US$3 each month for one digital book; the proposed print plan is US$75 every three months for three books per shipment. It will also state the first charge date, renewal method, delivery territory and how to cancel.
A subscription will renew only on the terms accepted at checkout. You will be able to cancel future renewals through the stated account or contact method. Cancellation stops future charges and does not remove remedies for a defective or undelivered product. We will give advance notice of material price or plan changes where required by law.
9. Cancellations, refunds and mandatory rights
Any voluntary refund policy shown at checkout is in addition to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms removes Australian Consumer Law guarantees, UAE consumer protections, EU/EEA consumer rights, or other mandatory protections that apply to you.
Personalized goods may be exempt from some change-of-mind withdrawal rights, and immediate digital delivery can affect a withdrawal right only where the law permits and the required express request and acknowledgement are obtained. Faulty, unsafe, misdescribed, inaccessible or undelivered products remain subject to applicable repair, replacement, re-performance, price-reduction, cancellation or refund rights.
10. Your conduct
Do not misuse the site, bypass security, upload malware, impersonate another person, infringe privacy or intellectual-property rights, submit abusive or exploitative material, or attempt to collect information about children or other users. We may block access or reject content where reasonably necessary for safety, security or law.
11. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the Pip & Ponder name, characters, text, illustrations, animation, design and software are owned by or licensed to the operator. No ownership transfers to you. Fair dealing, fair use and other rights granted by law remain unaffected.
12. Availability and liability
We use reasonable care but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Free previews may change or be withdrawn. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from household use.
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, deliberate misconduct, or mandatory consumer guarantees. Your statutory rights remain intact.
13. Changes, governing law and disputes
We may update these Terms for new products, suppliers, laws or safety needs. The version accepted with an order governs that order unless a mandatory law requires otherwise. Material subscription changes will be notified as required.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, but this choice does not remove mandatory protections or courts available in your home country. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern fairly. Before paid sales open, the legal operator and contact details described in the launch note above must be published.
Launch note: paid checkout and remote photo upload are not active. Before either opens, this page must be updated with the registered operator name, licence details, postal address and a monitored privacy contact.
